Very interesting antique double gourd vase with a lava finish in cream and green over a base of red clay. Not sure if it's Chinese or Japanese, there is an oval foil label with Asian writing, can't really make out the symbols too well but I am assuming they are either Chinese or Japanese. This wonderful old vase measures 8 1/2" tall and is in near mint condition. No chips, cracks, or damage. Just some light crazing as would be expected. I am estimating the age at around 90-100 years old. No marking on the underside at all. I've done a lot of research but have been unable to identify this particular label. But I am leaning toward Chinese because of the red clay being more prevalent there.
