TOLEDO ZOO Ohio baseball-hat Polar Bear youth cap Zoological embroidery

This is a previously-owned, youth-sized, gray and yellow “Toledo Zoo” baseball-hat with embroidery on the front (Royal Headwear brand, 100% cotton). It is a baseball-styled cap with a curved peak and a sliding-buckle adjuster in the back (so it can be quickly adjusted to fit most wearers)…

The Toledo Zoo began in 1900 as the Toledo Zoological Gardens, operated by the City of Toledo's Parks Board. In 1982 ownership was transferred from the city to the Toledo Zoological Society, a private non-profit organization, and professionalized the zoo's management. The zoo has been home to many firsts in the world of zoos; such as the first hippoquarium (and subsequently the first video of a hippo birth), as well as the only place in the world where the Kihansi Spray Toad is on display. It also is only the second zoo in the world to have saddle-billed storks as a part of its collection.
