St Anthony St Odilla Medal Patron of Crosier Fathers Oval Goldtone.  1-1/4" long.

St Odilia is said to have been the daughter of a ruler ("king") in Britain. Together with a group of other young women ("virgins") that included St Ursula, she was travelling in Germany, on a pilgrimage to Rome. However, "barbarians”  intercepted them at the gates of Cologne and martyred them. Some of her relics are now in her shrine in Onamia, Minnesota.

There is perhaps no more loved and admired saint in the Catholic Church than Saint Anthony of Padua. Though his work was in Italy, he was born in Portugal. He first joined the Augustinian Order and then left it and joined the Franciscan Order.  He is typically depicted with a book and the Infant Child Jesus, and is commonly referred to today as the "finder of lost articles."  Feast day June 13th.
