Baker's chocolate was becoming a staple of kitchen pantries everywhere. In 1852, Baker employee, Samuel German created a sweet chocolate that had a higher sugar content. The chocolate was given his name, German's Sweet Chocolate. This same subject was used by Droste Chocolate for their cocoa tins circa 1900 making her illustration a nurse..
