Xad CARDAS REGA CONTINUOUS LOOM REWIRE KIT 1m EXTERNAL LENGTH
Please be aware the RB3NN arms can be tricky to rewire because of small spaces for the cable to get around, the RB2NN arms are easier.
You must be reasonably practical to attempt a rewire.

The benefits of removing unnecessary soldered joints are obvious. This rewire loom has only two soldered joints in the signal path - at the cartridge clips and the RCA plugs. The loom is quite flexible and will not interfere with turntable suspension behaviour.
The 1m external length should be more than enough for most equipment setups.
We believe you will agree our loom is neat and carefully thought out.

Pseudo balanced mode is used, the shield must be star earthed at the tag end.The twisted pair configuration minimises crosstalk and cancels EMI from external sources resulting in a purer signal. Litz cable has individually enamelled wire, so extra care is needed when soldering.

• Cardas gold plated cartridge clips

• Cardas 33awg X4 shielded twisted pair golden section high purity copper Litz continuous from clips to RCA plugs

• Dedicated earth lead. Internal tonearm end 100mm earth lead in case Rega arm earth is broken or missing.
  

• Base plug with strain relief and external cable exit

• Rean gold plated RCA phono plugs

• Presoldered single draw wire to ease pulling through from headshell end

INSTRUCTIONS:

Remove headshell grommet and desolder headshell leads.
Remove Rega base plug and desolder internal leads.
Twist internal leads together and solder (with minimal joint size) to grey draw cable, test for strength.
Use Rega internal cable to pull grey draw wire and loom into the arm with a gentle back and forth movement
to negotiate corners and changes of direction.

When new loom is through, desolder grey draw wire.
Loop back excess wire inside the arm tube.
Separate wires into two channels, Red/Green R and White/Blue L and feed through headshell grommet.
Solder cartridge clips and refit grommet.
Solder original arm internal earth wire to blue earth at Xad plug - this star earths the arm at the Preamplifier.
If desired, trap the second braided tail between arm pillar and Xad plug (this should not be necessary as the arm should already be earthed by the previous procedure).
