ROME, May 9—Pope Paul VI today proclaimed 1975 as Holy Year and directed Roman Catholic communities throughout the world to begin spiritual preparations on Pentecost, June 10, for the event. The Pontiff said the general theme of the proposed celebration would be reconciliation and renewal. He said modem man must make his peace with God and seek peace within the church, in interfaith relations, in society and in international relations.
