Honda owners and enthusiasts of the EP3, DC5 and EM2 models have a lot of great things to say about the handling characteristics of these cars. The biggest area for improvement is the steering and more specifically the steering rack slider.

The Achilles Heel in the handling on these models rests in the nylon slider fitted by Honda within the steering rack. Consider the forces this little component is put under, coupled with deterioration over time and it was realised the OEM Honda Slider just isn't up to the job. For the serious enthusiast, track cay goer, or competition car, the replacement of the stock slider for a Delrin solid slider is a must.

Precision Milled from Delrin® Material these are a direct replacement and offer a larger point of contact for the forces to be spread. This translates into a much sharper, crisper turn in, more direct steering feel and eradicates the 'wandering' characteristics associated with a worn Slider. The Material is also self lubricating however for best results we advise the rack to be thoroughly cleaned and regreased with high temperature grease.

FAQ's

Q. Why should i use High Temperature Grease?

A. We recommend High Temperature grease because the exhaust manifold passes directly under this area. A generic Grease will evaporate over time when exposed to this heat, especially with track or competition use.
