The dealer who I got this interesting old photo from said that it was from a Vermont estate. It's an image of a man on a horse drawn sleigh wagon mounted on 2 sleds instead of wheels. A snow covered field behind a split rail fence is in the background. Instead of seats for people, the wagon is filled with a group of wooden poles or stakes, a crate and what looks like wooden window with screening, a large metal pail and 2 brooms. Draped from the back is some heavy netting on a frame. The man is holding a long strap-like object from one hand. The seller thought that this man was a peddler, but it looks like he's providing some sort of service to me - what, I have no idea. The card measures 8 1/2 by 6 1/8 inches. Written on the back in light pencil is "L. Drake?" The image is a bit faint, and there are some nicks on the top edge, and a place along the left edge at the top, where the photo was torn and glued down with parts of the bare card showing through.
