Printed for the Author, Gainsborough, Yorkshire, and sold by H. Mozley, Market Place et al.1806, first edition. Bound in the original full leather with titles on a black leather spine label, gilt bands to the spine, engraved frontispiece. Good condition, with several old repairs to the boards and the top of the spine (see photos). Endpapers split at the hinges, but the binding is still firm. The endpapers and the frontis and title pages have handling marks. The free endpapers have adhered to them yellow pages from another 19th century work, at the front this has been partly removed and at the back it has been mostly lifted, but still partly adheres. The pages have occasional marks, and a short run of pages at the end have a small area of light water stain. Mainly clean, and tightly bound.
17.5cm, 6.75 inches, tall, x, contents, 346 pages.
