An original generic concert ticket for a Rock ‘n Roll Dance that took place on a series of Sundays at Hambleton Hall, Huyton, Liverpool during 1961. The Beatles played on eight occasions between August and December in 1961 at the venue, there is a very strong possibility that this generic ticket was issued for one of the shows at which The Beatles performed. The ticket measures 12.3cm x 8cm (4.75 inches x 3.1 inches). The condition is excellent. Provenance: The ticket is from the collection of former Cavern Club compère Bob Wooler. Bob was a pivotal figure in the Merseyside music scene of the early sixties. He introduced The Beatles countless times during their 292 appearances at The Cavern and was a great ambassador for the group. |
