The bottom of the map shows cross sections of different mining areas, which showcase both elevation, and the composition of the sedimentary rock that the cross sections are comprised of. The different types of rocks and ores are different colors and patterns.
The legend on the right side of the map showcases the types of sedimentary rock and ore found within the ground in the mining districts. For example, terrace gravels are a yellow spotty pattern, and quartzite is an aqua set of waves.

This is a multi-color map, printed by Snyder & Black Lithographers, New York. Tons of excellent colors and shading patterns. The map is quite visually arresting.
Measures approximately 17" x 31". This is a large map, and it would be incredible if it were framed and displayed. It is beautifully detailed and is very fun to look at.
Condition details: Some tanning of paper from age. Some minor edge folds. Color is still very good and bold. Measures approximately 17" wide x 31" tall. This was printed by Snyder & Black Lithographers, New York. Sold as-is and as-pictured. Please ask all questions before bidding.
