Up for auction today is a cookbook entitled “Fresh From The Farmers Market Cookbook” edited by Gwen McKee, Terresa Ray, and Barbara Moseley. The cookbook is part of the Best Of The Best series. It’s also the fifth volume in the Recipe Hall Of Fame Cookbook Collection. It’s soft-cover and copyrighted 2011.

 

Here’s the introduction found inside the cookbook:

 

        More than three decades ago, we began collecting the best recipes from cookbooks in every state in the nation. Now that we’ve completed our search for the nation’s very best recipes (the Best Of The Best State Cookbook Series), we have started searching for those recipes that go beyond being called the best, recipes that are so wonderful they belong in a category of their own—the Recipe Hall Of Fame!

        The nearly 400 recipes in this cookbook were already selected as winners, since they were chosen as favorites from each of their cookbooks. Now they’ve achieved an even greater status with their induction into the Recipe Hall Of Fame. These recipes proudly uphold our slogan of Preserving America’s Food Heritage. Since 1982, these recipes have come from cookbooks all over the United States—church cookbooks, Junior League cookbooks, community cookbooks, etc., many of which are now out of print. It is our pleasure, as well as our mission, to make sure these cherished recipes continue to be handed down through generations, and enjoyed for years to come.

        Now, we are proud to present to you the Best of the Best Of The Best recipes utilizing fresh fruits and vegetables—the Recipe Hall Of Fame Fresh From The Farmers Market Cookbook, the fifth volume in our Recipe Hall Of Fame Cookbook Collection. These recipes all feature fresh fruits or vegetables, and are arranged by courses such as appetizers, breakfasts, salads, desserts, etc. With nearly 6,500 farmers markets all across the United States, and a large consumer demand for fresh, locally grown food, we know this cookbook would appeal to cookbook collectors nationwide.

        Not only is this a collection of outstanding fruit and vegetable recipes, but a book that will serve a very practical purpose: putting great food on the table at any time, for any occasion. Cooking delicious meals for family and friends brings us so much enjoyment. It is a way of showing our love, and sharing our time as we sit down together and catch up on life’s comings and goings. And although it isn’t necessary, it’s always nice to know that the meals we serve will produce a bounty of compliments…and these will!

        Choosing recipes for this cookbook was indeed a challenge. As we chose recipes, we considered several things: First, the recipe had to be chosen as one of our favorites. (We voted with our taste buds!) Next, there had to be something about the recipe that stood out from the rest, that made it so wonderful that it deserved to be inducted into the Recipe Hall Of Fame. And of course, the recipe had to include fresh fruits or vegetables. (You can alter the recipes by using frozen or canned ingredients, if you choose, perhaps some you have put up yourself.)

        We hope you enjoy the latest inductees into the Recipe Hall Of Fame as much as we did.

The cookbook is in like-new condition. The front of the cover shows only slight wear, including a few various-sized scratch marks throughout (these are light and hardly noticeable). There’s a small, light crease mark in the lower right hand corner (this shows through to the inside of the front cover). The back of the cover looks nice. The main pages are neat and clean.

 

 

SHIPPING INFORMATION

 

As soon as I receive your payment, I will process the item for shipment. I will ship your item the same day I receive your payment and if I can’t do that, I guarantee I will ship it the next day. (Keep in mind I can’t ship on Sunday or Holidays that the post office recognizes.)

 

Your shipping cost will include delivery confirmation / tracking number, so that you can keep track of the package throughout the shipping process. It also includes the cost of packaging materials that will keep your items safe during shipping. At times I use clean, recycled packaging supplies. I DO NOT make money off shipping.

I accept returns only if I have misrepresented the item in some way, or the item is damaged during shipment. I try to be as thorough and as picky as possible in my descriptions but I am only human. If you do have a problem with an item, please contact me before leaving feedback and I will be happy to help you.

I would appreciate payment within 7 days. However, I am flexible. If for some reason you cannot send payment within 7 days, please contact me. If I haven’t heard from you, and more than 3 days have passed, I will send you a friendly reminder.

If no payment has been received after 7 days, and I have not heard from you, I will turn the transaction in to eBay as a non-payment.
