Restoration by paper doll artist, Judy M Johnson
Miss Parker is famed for her Mopsy, & Mopsy Modes comic strips of the late 30s into the early 50s.
Flapper Fanny is the precursor to Mopsy, and she is much like Mopsy. There are little sister, and her pal, Chuck, here too, and 6 pages of clothes for them all. (5 pages are for Fanny & her sister, and 1 just for the kids)
3 larger image pages are shown. See all 8 pages-including covers- in the group image.
Gladys Parker was a pretty, petite woman who had short dark tousled curls, looking very much like her own characters. They always had the very latest in fashion, so Mopsy/Fanny were played with by girls into their teens, much as girls today play Barbie to cut their teeth on fashion.
This original book was a big one! The Fanny doll having been about 13 inches tall.
Our finished book size is 8.5" x 11". All professionally laser printed on archival top-grade, fine-grained, smooth-finish, easy-to-cut papers. Presented in a crystal clear archival seal-top bag.
