Harry Harrison (1925–2012) was r, best known for his character the Stainless Steel Rat and for his novel Make Room! Make Room! (1966). The latter was the rough basis for the motion picture Soylent Green (1973). Harrison was (with Brian Aldiss) the co-president of the Birmingham Science Fiction Group. This fabulous Harry Harrison anthology from 1968 has 10 of his best science fiction stories. This collection contains: The Streets of Ashkelon, Portrait of the Artist, Rescue Operation, Captain Bedlam, First Encounter, Unto My Manifold Dooms, This Pliable Animal, Captain Honario Hornplayer RN, According to his Abilities, and I Always Do What Teddy Says. There is some edge and corner wear, including a small piece off the top corner of the front cover (see the scan), but this 50-year-old vintage paperback book is still in very good condition.
