This fascinating chart shows 100 years of Champagne yields, harvests and sales. The top chart shows total sales in bottles (black) split between exports (red) and domestic consumption (green). The bottom chart shows grape harvests in hectrolitres, with the top of each bar indicating the quality of the harvest: Red - very good; Blue: good; Yellow: quite good; diagonal lines pointing upwards: Mediocre; diagonal lines pointing down: poor; cross hatching: very poor.
