For radiation surveys, you can easily make color maps to show elevated count rates using google maps. Long duration timed counts can increase the accuracy of your measurements and allow you to distinguish areas of elevated background.
We just connected one to a Thermo Radeye to extend the meters that Counts.Pro is proven to work in. Send us a message and we will evaluate your meter. But almost any meter that runs a GM, Scintillator, or Proportional counter should work. It does not work presently for Ion Chambers as they detect current not counts.

All you need to connect the counts.pro is an IOS device using Bluetooth 4.0 or later. If you have access to an Iphone/Ipad/Ipod, the following versions that use use Bluetooth 4.0 (BT LE), also known as Bluetooth Low Energy and Bluetooth Smart will work. The Counts.Pro monitors the signal used to drive the display on meters. It does not affect your calibration and in fact will reflect the settings you put on the meter, such as window, threshold, etc. Counts.Pro indicates what your meter shows.
