You are bidding on a Brand New Southwest Speed Lake Style Header Kit with 3-1/2" Diameter Mega-Phone Collectors that features 3 1/2" Ceramic Hot Coated Turnouts & includes all necessary tubing required to build both the left side and the right side headers. This Header kit fits Small Block Ford 260-302ci Engines (SWS Part #440-2483, 440-2983). This Southwest Speed Lake Style Header Kit with 3 1/2" Ceramic Hot Coated turnouts is great for Hot Rods, Street Rods, Rat Rods & Nostalgia Rods, and are hotter than ever & nothing gives your vintage rod that authentic dry lakes competition look like a set of lake style headers and now you can build them yourself and customize them to your vehicle. All tubing comes pre-bent with enough parts to complete both sides. Supplied with 22-1/2" tapered 1-5/8" to 3-1/2" mega-phones. The mega-phones are supplied un-cut, just the 1-5/8" inlet and 3-1/2" diameter outlets, to allow almost any configuration desired by cutting and welding tubes where the customer desires. Originally designed to blow across the salt flats of Bonneville, these exposed Small Block Ford headers work great on rods without hoods, but are often used with side skirts trimmed up to fit around the headers. Running the turnouts delivers the true horsepower of the Small Block Ford but each lake style header has a bottom exit flange so you can connect it to a muffled under-car exhaust. This will require unbolting the turnouts, & installing the endcaps. The Headers feature 1-5/8" primary tubes merging to the 3-1/2" collectors, & comes complete with header bolts and gaskets, reducer bolts and gaskets, and end cap bolts and gaskets. Supplied with precision cut 3/8" thick flanges to enhance the experience of assembling this quality header kit. Also includes the flanges and tubing to assemble a set of 2-1/2" connectors to complete the installation. The 3 1/2" Diameter Turnouts are supplied with precision cut 1/4" thick x 5 1/2" Diameter Flanges, complete with bolts and gaskets. Fits angle or straight plug heads, no spark plug or spark plug wire restrictions. Welding Warning: These header kits need to be assembled by someone who is proficient at fabricating and welding, they are not designed for amateur fabricators. These header kits must either be TIG Welded or MIG Welded. They are not designed to be Arc Welded or Stick Welded. Ceramic Hot Coating Warning: Warning: These Turnouts are Ceramic Hot Coated. CHC coatings will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures over 1300 degrees. A lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures exceeding 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is damaged due to a lean condition, the coating will not be warranted, but can be recoated for a fee. No warranty or returns on Ceramic Hot Coated exhaust items once they have been installed. Header Return Policy: Please refer to the header measurement chart below to make sure the header will fit your vehicle and application before ordering. In the event you order a header that will not fit your vehicle and application, you may return them for a refund, providing you don't damage the header. When you receive the header the finish will be protected and must remain unscratched for a refund. If you bend or dimple any of the tubes or scratch the finish, we will not be able to sell the header and will not be able to process a refund. Use care when trial fitting headers.
