Offering a vintage United Kingdom, large copper penny coin belt. I think this was made in the 1960's.

This belt made up of fifteen copper one penny coins, measures 28 1/2" in length. Each coin measures 1 1/4" in diameter and has been drilled and connected to the next with copper chain.

Fourteen of the coins are exactly the same: dated 1930 and featuring King George V on one side, and a seated Britannia on the other.

The fifteenth coin is a very old and worn 1879 copper coin from Spain featuring King Alfonso XII. This coin is very smooth from wear and hard to read. Don't know why it is here ... maybe it was a mistake (same general size and shape as the others), or maybe it was a kind of "lucky coin" added in.

The belt secures easily with a simple hook. Wear and tarnish on all the coins but no structural damage.
