The design of XTC puts its lowered Centre of Gravity closer to the plane of the stylus than other "dropped" counterweights can manage.
The rotational forces have less vector variation which improves tracking. XTC places more of the weight transversely, aiding bearing stability

XTC is available for a number of arms, and has consistently had positive effects. The counterweight itself is lacquered brass, with an aluminium collar and stainless steel set screws.

I have the Telarc Digital Tchaikovsky 1812 on vinyl and I have played this album on the Pro-ject, the higher-end entry Level Planar 6 and much higher-end turntables in a showroom and they all could not play the cannon tracks. The tonearms violently wobbled and skipped.

My main reason for getting this (122gm) counterweight was because I don’t have to replace the stub on the tonearm and that it will balance my 10 gram Grado Statement Sonata 2. I didn’t expect anything else, but I was surprised that with this new setup I was able to play the 1812 overture without any problems described!

My brother Tim recently bought your counterweight for his new Funk FXR11 tonearm to which I had the pleasure of an
evening with hooked up to my modified Rega 300 bolted to a hot rodded Audionote TT2. Suffice to say my
tracking (Which was already very good) improved greatly sounding like my tonearm had suddenly grown 3 inches! Wow!

Tried out the counterweight last night. Amazing improvement over the stock CW in every way. Most noticeably, as they say
so often, a veil is lifted. Everything is less tentative. Bass coming through more solid, percussions  have the final "ring" of
the real things, more depth and soundstage anchored more accurately. These are all preliminary impressions after a few hours
of listening. I have no hesitation recommending your CW to Hadcock owners if these prelim impressions hold up & I think
