Both Wii Remotes have been tested with standard AA batteries and are working.
The controllers are the later Wii Remote Plus type with Wii MotionPlus functionality integrated directly into the controller, so a separate external MotionPlus attachment is not required.
The included charging dock and rechargeable battery packs are also included as a bonus. Please note that one of the two rechargeable battery packs does not appear to charge properly. The other pack shows charging functionality, but due to the age of the batteries, battery capacity and operating time are not guaranteed.
If desired, the controllers can be used normally with standard AA batteries instead of the rechargeable packs.
Both controller boxes are included and the controllers themselves have no major cosmetic damage, making this a nice set for Wii users or Nintendo collectors.
