As the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Konrad Adenauer shaped the history of our country like no other. After the Second World War, he led Germany into a new era of freedom and democracy, laid the foundation for European unification and became a symbol of stability and foresight. His legacy lives on to this day – and is now being honored with a special coin.
The 2 euro commemorative coin for 2026 “Konrad Adenauer” was launched on the occasion of his 150th birthday. Issued on his birthday and shows a portrait of the former Chancellor, designed by the artist Marianne Dietz. The coin is part and second edition of the “Unity and Law and Freedom” series. Issued in freshly minted quality and from a mint of our choice, it is a must for every ambitious Euro collector and history enthusiast. Highly recommended!
The edge of the German 2-euro commemorative circulation coin contains the inscription: “UNITY AND LAW AND FREEDOM” as well as a stylized federal eagle in a recessed embossing.
