Shakespeare Retold — BBC 2-Disc DVD Set
This BBC America collection reimagines four Shakespeare classics as sharp, contemporary tales: Macbeth as a chef clawing his way to the top of a three-star restaurant, Beatrice and Benedick as rival newscast co-anchors, Titania and Bottom carousing at a tawdry theme resort, and Petruchio taming a conservative MP in a politically incorrect marriage of convenience. Praised by The New York Times, Vogue, and USA Today, this sealed 2-disc set is a great pick for Shakespeare fans and BBC drama collectors.
