In very nice and clean condition without any stains or tears, antique entirely handmade Italian tablecloth dating from the late 19th or early 20th century.
The tablecloth measures 100" X 60" and it is in an off white or cream cotton fabric with the thread used for the embroidery in a darker taupe beige color.
The Tablecloth is adorned with a dense floral and leaf cutwork pattern and it combines solid fabric areas with Richelieu cut out openwork bars (brides).
A prominent central monogram in two locations along the middle of the tablecloth inside the cutwork is present.
The monogram is in very detailed needle lace "Point de Venise" and the initials look like HR with F in the middle (not sure).
This is a family heirloom entirely hand embroidered and in excellent condition with just a few broken brides here and there that one has to look for.
Very rare item in such great condition.
