An antique handheld painter's work light—often called a vintage "trouble light" or utility drop light. Industrial utility light from early to mid 20th century.

Does not have an electrical cord. Handle is heavy dark hardwood which the patina could just talk to you and you can feel all the jobs it was once part of!  Light socket paddle marked HP

9” long, 3/4” diameter attachment rim for light guard or reflector.
