Up for sale is a fantastic, near-complete starter lot of authentic, mid-century Bandalasta Ware tableware. Manufactured in Birmingham, England, by Brookes & Adams, this lightweight, shatterproof Beetle plastic ware was the gold standard for classic British motoring and holiday picnic sets in the 1940s and 1950s.
This ivory/cream colored lot features the iconic stackable ridges and classic art-deco inspired handles. It is perfect for anyone trying to piece together a missing 4-person setting for a vintage travel trailer, classic car rally setup, or period-accurate camping display.
What’s Included (14 Pieces Total):
- 4 x Stacking Plates
- 4 x Saucers
- 4 x Breakfast Cups (Mould 152)
- 2 x Condiment / Sugar Jars with Lids
Condition (Please Read Honestly):
This set has a genuine "survivor" look with plenty of road-trip character. The plates, saucers, and condiment jars are in fair, functional vintage condition with standard light surface scuffs from age.
Please note: The cups show heavy wear and interior tea/coffee staining from decades of use. Because this vintage resin is porous, the staining is deeply embedded into the material. I chose to keep the full set of 4 cups together because they still display beautifully from the outside, stack perfectly, and fill out the empty slots in a vintage Brexton, Sirram, or Coracle picnic case perfectly.
Sold as-is. Ships quickly and packed securely with plenty of padding to preserve this piece of motoring history!
