What is a Carquest Starter Motor?
A Carquest Starter Motor is the electric motor that cranks the engine to begin the combustion cycle. When the key is turned, its solenoid pushes the pinion gear into mesh with the engine flywheel and switches full battery current into the motor windings. A failing starter typically shows up as slow cranking, a single click, or no response at all when the key is turned.
