Large Japanese antique Maebiki Oga saw / old timber saw.
This is a large traditional Japanese saw once used for timber and forestry work.
The wide black iron blade has a very strong presence and would make an impressive display piece for a shop, studio, garage, cabin, restaurant, or Japanese folk tool collection.
There are stamped marks on the blade, but the maker’s name is difficult to read clearly due to age, rust, and wear.
The blade has heavy rust, scratches, stains, edge wear, chips, and signs of long-term storage.
One handle is attached.
