Japanese Kanna Plane Senju 70mm Aka Gashi Red Oak Dai Ready to Use
This is a Japanese hand plane, Kanna, marked Senju.
It features a Hon Aka-gashi dai, a Japanese red oak plane body.
Aka-gashi is valued for its hardness and durability, making it suitable for traditional Japanese plane bodies.
The blade width is approximately 70mm, making this a large and practical smoothing plane.
The blade has been roughly sharpened, and the dai has also been generally adjusted.
It is ready to use, though final fine tuning may be required depending on the user’s preference.
