The Last Stage is a compilation of previously unreleased Budgie recordings from the early‑to‑mid 1980s. Many of these tracks were originally intended for the follow‑up to 1982’s Deliver Us From Evil, an album that was planned but never completed. Beautiful Lies was one of the songs meant for that release but was ultimately shelved; it later appeared on the anthology An Ecstasy of Fumbling. This collection presents the band’s final era with strong melodic rock elements, polished performances and a snapshot of Budgie’s last creative phase before their eventual disbandment.
This edition marks the **first time these recordings have ever appeared on vinyl**.
