Sweetnighter, originally released in the early 1970s, captures Weather Report at a pivotal moment as they shifted toward a deeper, groove‑driven jazz‑rock fusion sound. This 2000 UK remastered reissue on Talking Elephant presents the album with renewed clarity, highlighting the band’s rhythmic experimentation, atmospheric textures and instrumental interplay.
Housed in a standard jewel case, multicoloured and sealed, this edition is ideal for collectors of classic fusion and 70s jazz‑rock evolution.
