The Wilde Flowers were a pivotal British band whose members would later form the core of the Canterbury scene, leading into groups such as Soft Machine and Caravan. Featuring early recordings from Kevin Ayers, Robert Wyatt, Hugh Hopper, Richard Sinclair, Brian Hopper and others, this collection captures the raw beginnings of a movement that would reshape progressive rock.
The album compiles rare studio tracks and demos, showcasing the band’s blend of blues rock, pop rock and experimental ideas that would later evolve into the signature Canterbury sound. Remastered and pressed on 180 gram vinyl, this edition offers a detailed look at one of the most historically important pre‑prog outfits.
