Original vintage glossy photograph, approximately 7 x 9¼ inches, showing Café Rostalm at Berchtesgaden, Germany, during the post-WWII period. The sign identifies the location as the Rostalm Ski School in the Berchtesgaden Recreation Area. The U.S. Army operated Berchtesgaden as a military recreation area following the war. Photo dates approximately 1946–1950, probably late 1940s. Nothing is written or printed on the reverse. The sign says:
WELCOME TO SKI SCHOOL
BERCHTESGADEN
RECREATION AREA.
G-VG Condition. There are some creases at upper left.
I use a simple Poor / Fair / Good / Very Good / Excellent / Mint grading scale and grade conservatively (please see my feedback). Because grading standards vary widely among different types of collectibles, my grade is intended as a general guide rather than a strict industry standard. Ebay also has their own grading system we must use. Please rely on the photographs and the detailed condition description when making your own assessment.
