Rare Antique Victorian 12kt Gold Plated Pince Nez or Spectacles with Original Case, c1890

This wonderful pair of pince nez has a bridge that has been made using a gold plated metal. There are pads that fit each side of the nose. The lenses have a strong magnifying quality, so will have been prescription lenses. The bridge is embossed with '1/10  12KT'. The pince nez are in good antique condition.

The case has a black leather covering with a purple silk velvet interior. There is gilt tooled Art Nouveau lettering with makers information to the top of the case, it reads: W. E. Plant, PHAMACIST & OPTICIAN, 28 HIGH ST, DONCASTER. The case is in used condition showing age and wear. 

A great collectable.
