Oaxacan Mexican Folk Art Hand-Carved Wooden Ram Alebrije Figurine

Colorful hand-carved and hand-painted wooden ram / bighorn sheep figurine in the traditional Oaxacan Mexican folk art style.

The sculpture features dramatic oversized curled horns and intricate hand-painted dot and geometric decoration in red, yellow, black, white, blue and purple. Beautiful detailing covers nearly the entire surface of the figure.

Measures approximately 8.5–9 inches tall and about 5 inches long.

Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition with age-related paint wear, scuffs and small surface imperfections. The tail is missing, with the original attachment opening visible on the back.
