Choosing the right gas for your car air conditioning system is essential to ensure optimum cooling performance. The refrigerant used has a direct impact on cooling efficiency, environmental impact and the overall performance of the air conditioning system. It is therefore important to understand the different options available and select the one that matches your vehicle specifications.
1. Start the vehicle engine and set the air conditioning to the lowest temperature and the highest fan speed.
2. Open the bonnet, locate the service port and unscrew the protective cap.
3. Shake the can up and down for a few seconds.
4. When using the blue hose:
Fully open the valve on the hose with pressure gauge so that the needle retracts inside. Then screw the hose onto the can.
❗ Connect the hose to the can first and only then connect it to the vehicle. Connecting it in the reverse order may cause the product to escape.
When using the grey hose:
Screw the can fully into the hose end on the pressure gauge side.
*** If the kit includes an adapter, connect it to the hose with pressure gauge first. ***
4. Connect the prepared kit to the service port and turn the can upside down.
5. With the engine running and the air conditioning switched on, check the pressure on the gauge. Use the table on the can label to determine the correct pressure according to the outside temperature.
6. When using the blue hose:
Slowly turn the control knob clockwise to begin recharging.
❗ Do not open the valve suddenly or fully at once. The product must be added gradually. Check the pressure on the gauge regularly during the process.
When using the grey hose:
Recharge the air conditioning system gradually by pressing the grey trigger below the pressure gauge, allowing short pauses between each press. Check the pressure on the gauge regularly.
7. Stop recharging once the correct pressure for the current outside temperature has been reached.
❗ Do not empty the can completely if the correct pressure has already been reached.
8. When using the blue hose:
Close the valve by turning the control knob fully anticlockwise. Disconnect the kit from the service port and replace the protective cap.
When using the grey hose:
Disconnect the kit from the service port and replace the protective cap.
*If the air conditioning system is completely empty, a vacuum must be created before recharging.
