Version Iteration
A01 is the original first-generation valve body. Honda officially replaced A01 gradually with A02 and A04 later.
Official manual confirms 27000-5T0-A01 can be directly substituted by 27000-5T0-A02. Reverse replacement requires transmission control module reprogramming.
Fault Repair Performance
27000-5T0-A01: Prone to P0841 pressure sensor error, low-speed jerk and starting slip on early vehicles.
27000-5T0-A02: Optimized main pressure valve and solenoid parameters, better compatibility for late models and lower failure rate.
Installation & Matching
Direct installation: 27000-5T0-A02 fits older vehicles designed for 27000-5T0-A01 without extra programming.
Reverse installation: Mounting 27000-5T0-A01 on late vehicles for 27000-5T0-A02 may trigger fault codes and gear lock protection. Program upgrade is recommended.
Sales & Installation Tips
27000-5T0-A02 is the preferred option. Vehicles manufactured after 2017 must use A02/A03/A04.It is also recommended to upgrade to A02 for 2014-2016 models to reduce potential breakdown risks.
