A finely detailed vintage Chinese carved cinnabar lacquer lidded box. The top and sides are meticulously hand-carved in deep red lacquer, featuring a romantic scene of two birds perched amidst blossoming plum or cherry tree branches against a textured geometric diaper background. The interior is finished in a smooth contrasting black lacquer.
Dimensions: Measures approximately 14.5 cm to 15 cm in diameter.
Condition: Good vintage condition overall with vibrant color and sharp carving. Note: There is a small chip/loss to the black lacquer lining on the inner rim (as clearly shown in the close-up photo), which does not affect the exterior display or lid closure.
