The Merkava tank was developed in response to the needs of Israeli forces.
Official development of the Merkava began in the early 1970s.
The main goal was to design a state-of-the-art main battle tank that would protect the crew, provide high firepower, and meet the challenges of the modern battlefield.
The latest model (Merkava IV) has been in service with the Israeli Armed Forces since 2003.
Detailed in 1:16 scale
The detailed Merkava measures approx. 565 x 240 x 200 (L x W x H mm). In the HengLong BB + IR Edition, it features 2.4 GHz board technology, speakers and smoke developer. This model has superior driving characteristics, a variety of functions and realistic sound. Many small parts and different stickers complete the scale replica perfectly.
Controls and Functions
The powerful package has 2.4 GHz control. The motors with optimized torque give the Merkava a precise, smooth ride. Gearboxes with sturdy gears and an improved gear ratio provide greater power. The proportional control allows you to start the tank very slowly and continuously increase the speed. The Merkava drives forward and backward, also with a left and right turn each. It can also be turned left or right on the spot. You can raise and lower the cannon and rotate the turret 320 degrees (160 degrees per side). Various engine sounds and smoke formation from the mufflers complete the realistic experience.
