Offering a classic CONWAY, DE LUXE model, out of England. I’ve seen very few of these in the past, and all have been of very nice quality. The pipe is quite attractive, and well make. Here’s some info from Pipedia: "Conway pipes were most probably made by Singleton & Cole. If the pipe is stamped with a shape number, this probability almost becomes a certitude. According to Wilczak & Colwell (op. cit.)
The pipe is a full-size canted tall bowled Dublin, shape #1091. The bowl has a rich dual black and tan stain, and shows off some really excellent grain, with no fills and no issues. The bowl is in nice shape, just light normal use showing, with surface darkening on the inner rim. The interior is well seasoned, and the draw hole is bottom center, should smoke quite well. The stem well cut, made of vulcanite, with dual draw holes for a durable bit design. Has some slight tooth wear on the bottom. Weight is about 1.09 ounces, 31.0 grams, freshly polished, draws easy and is ready to smoke!
