STANWELL Made - Royal Danish
9240 Lightly Bent Pot, Saddle Bit
Sandblast & Panels, Early Pipe

Offering an early STANWELL made Royal Danish, from Denmark. Royal Danish is a sub-brand made by Stanwell, as you can see from the catalog page I’ve included for reference. This branding is known typically to include smooth panel(s) on the sides, as this one enjoys. The shape is 9240, and I can’t correlate it to a specific Stanwell cross-referenced shape number. The bowl exterior is in nice shape. It’s got the common smooth panels with mostly sandblast finish. The blast area shows tight details in the grain, nice to look at. The interior is nicely seasoned, with no real thickness or cake, draw hole is bottom center. The stem is original, with the Crown logo on the side, and freehand style saddle cut, made of vulcanite. The bit has surface tooth marks with oxidation, in nice shape. It weighs in at about 1.15 ounces, 37.8 gram, draws very well. Freshly polished, and ready to smoke!
