Large Antique WEDGWOOD Basalt Bough Pot or Cachepot

Fully Marked "Wedgwood" "Etruria" "England" "9" & "W"

The piece dates from somewhere between 1900 and 1915 and is a remarkable survivor given it size.

The Bough Pot or Cachepot stands 9" Tall.  It is 7.75" Wide on Top and 6.25" Wide at the Base.  It is substantial in weight as well.  A solid, older piece of Wedgwood Basalt indeed.

With beautifully executed relief work of the “Sacrifice to Hymen” or “The Muses” and a lovely "Fruit & Flower" Band on top and "Grapevine" relief around the base, it is really a Substantial and Stunning example of Fine Victorian / Edwardian Wedgwood Basalt.

The Bough Pot or Cachepot is in Good Antique Condition with minor surface marks and one repair to the base on the underside that is not visible when displaying the piece.  There is also one small chip around the base right on the bottom, also not very noticeable.  Please examine all the photos on the listing especially the last 4 photos which are close-ups of the imperfection, so that you can judge the condition for yourself.  Please feel free to ask any questions or request additional photos.  I am happy to accommodate all requests.

Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
