Also a separate matching folder which holds FOUR LARGE MAPS (and a later plan). These maps are tatty, torn, chipped and brittle, there are crude repairs to verso, see photos carefully.
Six volumes in total with separate Map folder, uniformly bound in brown cloth with black and gilt illustration and titles to front and spine. Each measuring approx. 26.6cm x 20cm x 4-4.5cm. The spines have a bit of a twist, the spine edges are split and cracking/cracked with movement. The spines are nicked to top and bottom. Board and spine edges are bumped and a little frayed and corners chipped. Some faded and rubbed patches to cloth and some marks. Gilt a hint worn in places. Internally the majority of the endpapers are splitting and a little chipped to inner edges. Cracking/cracked to first and last few leaves of each (these leaves have a little movement). First and last couple of leaves have some pale foxing/toning and a some of the tissue guards (to frontispieces) are a little chipped/creased. There is one folding plate/article in one volume and this has a tear. Contents of each have some movement, although the majority of leaves are reasonably firm. Odd minor spot, crease and mark, and there is occasional very pale toned patch where something has been stored, else in clean condition.

The first two volumes were written by Walter Thornbury and remaining volumes were by the journalist and antiquarian Edward Walford

- We offer FREE UK domestic shipping, fully tracked and insured.
- We use several services for overseas shipping, under 5kg usually shipped via Royal Mail Tracked. Heavier shipments or faster courier services are available, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred method.
- We combine shipping for multiple items (Please wait to be invoiced for multiple purchases for accurate costings).

Packaging
All our books will be carefully and securely packaged in custom made book boxes (The majority of which are produced Carbon Neutral).
The Bubble packaging and boxes are all recyclable, and most tape used is environmentally friendly (we are constantly researching ways to reduce our environmental impact without compromising safe, secure and affordable shipping).
