Vintage Singer Sewhandy Electric Model 50D child-sized sewing machine with its original two-tone hard carrying case.
Made in Great Britain during the early 1960s, this compact Singer was designed as a genuine chain-stitch sewing machine for young users. It operates through the built-in motor switch and SEW/STOP lever; this model does not require a separate foot pedal.
PARTIAL TESTING:
The machine was connected to power, powers on and the needle mechanism moves up and down. It has not been threaded or tested by sewing fabric. Stitch formation, fabric feeding, tension and every adjustment have not been fully tested.
CONDITION:
Shows visible age and use wear, including scratches, scuffs, marks, discoloration, surface dust and oxidation around the needle and presser-foot area. The orange-red and tan carrying case has additional scratches and storage wear. The vintage electrical cord should be inspected before prolonged use.
Includes the Singer Model 50D machine, attached base/power cord and original carrying cover shown. No manual, retail box, thread or additional accessories are included.
Because testing was limited, it is being sold as-is and may require cleaning, lubrication, adjustment or servicing. Exact item pictured is the item you will receive.
Partially tested. Machine powers on and the needle mechanism moves up and down. It has not been threaded or tested on fabric, so stitching, feeding and tension have not been verified. Vintage cosmetic wear includes scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust and oxidation around the needle/presser-foot area. Original carrying case also shows wear. Sold as-is and may need cleaning, lubrication or adjustment.
