Large Royal Doulton Dickens Ware Vase, 

mould pattern number D2973 with a tall barrel shape, 

Hand painted with the image of Dickensian character Sairey Gamp, 

the tipsy nurse from Martin Chuzzlewit novel.

Of course features the Royal Doulton Dickens Ware backstamp, 

Originally designed in 1908, we believe this is a 1920's piece.

Vase stands approximately 23 cm's in height, 

and 11 cm's in diameter at the mid point. 

Vase is in very good condition, 

the normal surface crazing of the glaze, 

and a little dust and marking within from use, 

but otherwise excellent, as shown in the pictures.
