Milwaukee model 2679-600CU is an 18V cordless FORCE LOGIC crimper engineered to produce cULus-classified crimps to UL 486A-B requirements when used with approved combinations of Milwaukee jaws, dies, connectors, and cable. Its 600 MCM capacity supports copper conductors from #8 AWG through 600 MCM, while compatible dual-rated connector applications extend from #8 through 350 MCM, subject to the connector manufacturer and approved die/jaw combination.
The tool uses a POWERSTATE™ brushless motor and enclosed hydraulic system to deliver fast, controlled crimp cycles—listed at approximately 2.9 seconds—with consistent performance across an operating temperature range of 0°F to 122°F. Milwaukee’s Predictive Force Monitoring (PFM) system monitors the crimping process, while the integrated LED pressure indicator provides a green-light confirmation when full crimp pressure is achieved.
Its inline body profile, balanced center grip, and 350° rotating head improve access and positioning in confined electrical cabinets, switchboards, and control panels. A proprietary jaw-alignment system holds the connector in place for alignment before crimping. Weather-protected electronics are designed to resist jobsite dirt, dust, and moisture.
