Lovely antique Caley stoneware bottle, manufactured by Bourne Denby, with a rich brown glazed finish and striking cobalt-blue transfer decoration.

The front features the flowing “Caley” script, while the reverse has an attractive blue crown emblem and CALEY lettering. The lower body carries the impressed BOURNE / DENBY pottery mark.

A particularly attractive old advertising bottle with excellent display appeal.

🕰️ Age:

Likely late 19th to early 20th century. Bourne Denby produced large quantities of stoneware bottles for commercial drinks manufacturers during this period. Similar surviving examples were used for ginger beer and other bottled drinks.

📌 Condition:

Fantastic condition for its age. No obvious major chips or cracks visible. There are some light surface marks/scratches and the odd rust-coloured mark consistent with age and previous use. Please study all photographs as they form part of the condition description.
