Up for sale is a stunning, authentic piece of Scandinavian mid-century modern design: an Arabia Finland "Kilta" covered pitcher in a beautiful, glossy minimalist white glaze.

This iconic piece was designed by the legendary Kaj Franck, a pioneer of Finnish functionalist design known for creating geometric, versatile, and timeless everyday objects.

RARE COMPLETE FIND: The vast majority of these vintage pitchers have lost their lids over the decades. This listing includes the original matching flat lid, which is in beautiful condition.PROVENANCE & DATE:The base features the crisp, original green Arabia factory backstamp with the crown logo and is explicitly dated "1-68", indicating it was manufactured in January 1968.

MATERIAL NOTE:

True to its 1968 production date, this pitcher is made of Arabia's signature vintage hard faience (refined earthenware). It has the richer glaze depth and softer organic surface characteristic of original vintage Kilta pottery, rather than the colder look of the post-1981 vitro-porcelain Teema reissues.
