Early vintage Tonka Mighty Loader pressed-steel construction toy, dating from approximately 1967–1969.
This first-generation version was sold as model No. 2920 in 1967 and No. 3920 during 1968–1969. It features the early “Mighty Loader” cab decals, oval Tonka hood emblem, large balloon-style tires, metal loader arms and pressed-steel bucket.
Measures approximately 20 inches long. Original yellow finish appears unrestored.
This loader has substantial authentic play wear and outdoor-storage patina, including surface rust and oxidation, heavy bucket wear, paint loss, scratches, dirt, faded graphics and cloudy windows. The loader arms, bucket, lift handle, cab windows, steering wheel, exhaust stack and air cleaner appear present. The loader mechanism works properly—the control handle raises and lowers the loader arms, and the bucket moves as intended.
A strong restoration candidate or rustic display piece for a vintage Tonka collection. Sold exactly as pictured. Please review every photo closely before purchasing.
Pre-owned vintage condition with substantial age and play wear, including surface rust and oxidation, paint loss, chips, scratches, dirt, faded decals and cloudy windows. The wheels roll and the loader bucket mechanism works properly. Please review all photos closely.
