a genuine antique Orlik "Stormproof" No. 66 petrol windproof pocket lighter. Manufactured in Austria and imported by Louis Orlik Ltd of London, this iconic sleeve-style windproof lighter is historically famous for inspiring the creation of the Zippo lighter.

**Markings & Authenticity:**

* **Base Stamp:** Stamped cleanly with "MADE IN AUSTRIA - ORLIK STORMPROOF".

* **Insert Stamp:** Marked with registration details "PAT. 124670 No. 66".

**Condition & Functional Notes:**

* **Casing:** Shows genuine historical character and age. The original silver plating has worn away beautifully on the upper lid, revealing a warm, contrast brass patina underneath. 

* **Mechanism:** The slide sleeve and hinge operate smoothly. 

* **Internal Parts Included:** Includes the original internal cotton wadding, flint tension spring, and threaded brass bottom screw cap (please see the final photo for a complete breakdown of parts).
