Original 1909 King’s Booklets souvenir booklet titled The Hudson River: The Grandest Waterway in America, issued as a souvenir of the Hudson River and the Hudson River Day Line steamers.

The front cover specifically names the famous Hudson River Day Line vessels:

“New York” – “Albany” – “Mary Powell”

and presents the booklet as a scenic and travel souvenir devoted to the Hudson River.

Illustrated throughout with period photographic views of New York City, the Hudson River, Tappan Zee, Stony Point, river steamers, shoreline scenery, rail lines, and other landmarks along the route. The New York City page notes Manhattan and the consolidated five boroughs, while other views document the river northward through scenic and historically significant locations.

Published as part of King’s Booklets, a series advertised as covering “A Thousand and One World Wide Subjects,” and showing a 1909 copyright on the cover.

A very attractive piece of early 20th-century Hudson River tourism, steamboat, New York transportation, and travel ephemera, with special collector interest because of the association with the Hudson River Day Line and the celebrated steamer Mary Powell.
